Don’t Bet On The Weather Forecast – A Hypamovers Nightmare Story

John’s lease was about to expire and he was in the market for a new apartment. Though he currently lived close to his places of work and worship, he decided to opt for a place that is much more affordable even if it meant that he would have to travel longer distances, which he did not mind. As he planned his move, he reached out to a friend, Tade, who recently moved to learn about his moving experience. Tade recommended that he use a particular moving company because they were very professional and that they took a lot of the stress off him.

John was quite tempted to use a professional service, but he was hell bent on cutting costs and eventually decided to undertake the move all by himself. John picked a date for the move that was expected to be sunny and started making his moving plans. He rented an open truck, and hired a few labourers to help move his items. He was pretty happy with his plan to move and such little cost.

On the day of the move, things started out fine. John had painstakingly supervised the loading of his items on the truck and soon, they were on their way to his new apartment; things however turned for the worst.

John had not taken into account the heavy traffic that is typical of the route to his new apartment and they were stuck in traffic for several hours. John had just begun to regret his decision to move to his new location when the weather turned. Before he knew it, there was a quick downpour while they were in traffic.

John had all his property completely drenched by the rainfall and most of his furniture was ruined by the time they got to his new place and John was completely overwhelmed by his bad luck. Later that evening, Tade, showed up to visit John but he could only sympathize with him given his ordeal. John was completely distraught and regretted not taking Tade’s advice on getting professionals to help him with his move. Though he had well-made plans in case things went right, he did little to plan for things going wrong.
